My New Massage Oil Blend

It has again come to the time where I’ve ordered another batch of high-quality massage oil. As you may know, I don’t usually like using baby oil, it’s very tacky and lacks the aroma of the blends I carefully create. With every batch of new oil, I infuse a specially selected blend of essential oils, making every session not just a massage but an aromatherapy experience as well. Each oil I choose is selected for its healing benefits, particularly what wonders it can do for your skin and overall relaxation.
So, as I start to massage, the rich, luxurious oil and calming scents will work together to leave you feeling rejuvenated and utterly pampered.
If after reading the below you feel a sudden urge to book your gay massage, don’t fight it – you know you deserve some pampering.
The Base Massage Oil
The base oil I use is grapeseed oil. It’s great for massage, easily absorbed and is very unlikely to irritate any possible allergies. Having said that, a good masseur will ask about any potential allergies to both the oil they use and any essential oils infused into it. I will ask at the start of every massage but its always a good idea to make sure you tell me if you know you have insensitivity or an allergy to anything before your massage starts. I do have other alternatives to use if this’s the case.
Grapeseed Oil: The Unsung Hero
Now, let’s talk about the base of this blend: Grapeseed oil. This lightweight, non-greasy carrier oil is a dream for massages and skincare alike. It’s easily absorbed and is very unlikely to irritate any possible allergies. Having said that, I will always ask you ask about any potential allergies to both the oil I use and any essential oils infused into it. I will ask at the start of every massage but its always a good idea to make sure you tell me if you know you have insensitivity or an allergy to anything before your massage starts. Why it’s great for the skin: Grapeseed oil is packed with antioxidants, vitamin E, and omega fatty acids, which help to nourish and protect the skin. It’s known for its ability to hydrate without clogging pores, making it perfect for all skin types, including sensitive or acne-prone skin. Plus, it promotes skin elasticity and can even help reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks.
Why it’s great for massage: Grapeseed oil’s silky texture makes it ideal for massages, allowing my hands to glide smoothly over the skin without feeling overly slick or sticky. It absorbs well but still provides enough slip for a relaxing and therapeutic massage. And because it’s hypoallergenic, it’s gentle enough for most people, even those of you with sensitive skin.
The Current Essential Oil Blend
I’ve been experimenting with essential oils again, and I’m so excited to share my latest creation with you: a blend of Eucalyptus and Lemongrass essential oils in a luscious massage oil base. Trust me, it’s like magic in a bottle, the perfect mix of refreshing, warming, and grounding. Let’s talk about why I chose these oils and what they can do for your skin.
Eucalyptus Oil: The Breathe-Easy Booster
Eucalyptus is the ultimate deep breath in a bottle. Known for its powerful decongestant and anti-inflammatory properties, it’s brilliant for clearing the airways and easing muscle tension. On the skin, it helps purify and soothe – especially after a workout or long day on your feet. And that crisp, clean, slightly minty scent? It’s like hitting the mental reset button. Fresh, invigorating, and endlessly revitalising.
Lemongrass Oil: The Zingy Energiser
Lemongrass is pure get-up-and-go. With its bright, citrusy aroma and natural antibacterial properties, it’s amazing for refreshing tired skin, reducing excess oil, and giving your body a zingy wake-up call. It also works wonders for sore muscles, making it perfect post gym or whenever you’re feeling a bit run down. The scent alone is a mood lifter, zesty, sharp, and seriously energising. It’s like a fresh start in every drop.
The Perfect Pairing
Together, Eucalyptus and Lemongrass are a dream combo for body and mind. One clears, the other energises and both leave you feeling fresh, focused, and totally recharged. They’re perfect for massage, especially when you want to feel clean, uplifted, and ready to take on the world (or at least your inbox).
Fancy trying it out? Book yourself in for a massage and let Eucalyptus and Lemongrass work their magic.
